Journalist and civil rights activist Charles Cobb will give a speech titled “Race and News Coverage from the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party to Barack Obama," at Miami University at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, in 212 MacMillan Hall titled. His speech is hosted by Miami's Journalism Program. Cobb, a senior analyst for www.allAfrica.com and a visiting prof at Brown University, will participate in the Center for American and World Culture’s conference, “Freedom Summer: Unity and Change: Then and Now,” Oct. 9-11.
NFL super agent Drew Rosenhaus and New York Times sports columnist Selena Roberts will speak at Miami University at 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, in Hall Auditorium. Ther topic has not yet been determined. The presentation is hosted by Miami's Lecture Series.
