(Oxford) The major snowstorm that hit Ohio February 8th has resulted in record levels of snow, hundreds of school closings and messy roads that have made it hard for commuters and students to get around.

On Tuesday, February 9th, Oxford was under a level two snow emergency, seeing four to eight inches, adding to the snow that had already accumulated from the storm over the previsous weekend.

The storm closed all local schools on Tuesday, and classes at Miami University were cancelled after 2pm, with the campus closing at 4pm.

Nation wide, many major cities are experiencing significant amounts of snow as well. The East coast is experiencing extreme levels of snow, with some areas of Virginia and Washington D.C seeing as much as two to three feet of snow. The storm has also hit New York, with as much as 10 to 14 inches accumulating.
