McCullough-Hyde Employees Await More Layoffs

OXFORD, OH Oct. 7, 2010—With McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital’s (MHMH) cutbacks in the rearview, employees can breath a sigh of relief, for now.
Try telling that to Linda Jenkins, mammography specialist at MHMH. While she was fortunate not to have her hours adjusted, others from the mammography department weren’t as lucky.

Vegas career fair

Held at the Hilton convention center in Las Vegas, the nab career fair provides an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals, college students, and entry-level job seekers to network with media companies.

 

Even though the economy’s current state has given job seekers reasons to worry, the large variety of companies present at career day indicated that opportunities available in the media industry are slowly increasing.

Germantown Childcare Center

 Federal stimulus money aided in the creation of the Germantown, Ohio Head Start program which opened in February helping to create new jobs and giving children in Germantown the opportunity to go to preschool. 

People usually think about street repairs and construction when the multi-billion stimulus package is mentioned, but in Germantown, Ohio, stimulus funds are going towards building blocks and fingerpaint.

This year’s employers expect to hire seven percent fewer grads than last year according to monthly polls by the National Association of Colleges and Employers. Things aren’t looking up for the class 2010.
